This brought back memories of when the tornado hit our house in Little Flock 5 years ago. It just ripped a big hole in the ceiling but created such a vacuum, it sucked the doors of the hinges in the hallway and deposited them in the living room. Every was scattered everywhere inside the house. It was a mess. There was only one thing that wasn't out of place. Not even a little.

It was a picture hanging on the wall right by the big hole we had in our roof. It was a picture of my Lord and Savior gentling holding a lamb in His arms.

The stories about the Joplin survivors who took shelter in bathtubs or closets and those things were the only things that remained, reminded me of being held in Jesus' arms.

Our tornado was small. Our damage, while bad enough was nothing compared to what the people of Joplin are going through.

It must be overwhelming. I'm sure many are confused on where to begin or where this might lead. Just having someone to help them through this does so much for their spirits and mental well being.

We had a mystery helper show up for our tornado before I could get home after the tornado (I was traveling of course). He was from Texas and had been through a few tornadoes before. Kathie didn't know where to begin. He just quietly chipped in and worked all day. When Kathie went to bring him some food at the end of the day he was gone. She refers to him as her angel.

Remember on GPC's mission to Joplin, to those people we are their angels. Actually, to many, when they see us, they see God.

Thanks for posting these reports.

Regards,

Susan is our neice and we and our small group in Texas had the priviledge of praying for your team as they traveled and served in Mali. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of the great things God has done. Your brother and sister in Christ, Bill & Cathy

Your excitement is contagious. Cannot wait to hear more about the trip. We are trying to tie Russell down and make him talk:-)It's always wonderful to hear that God is answering our prayers.

G'day Mike,

Well done for investing so abundantly into Caleb, his future, his LIFE! He will never have to wonder, or make up an answer when asked years from now... "When did you become a man?" Unlike the majority of us men, he will be able to point to a specific date on the calendar, when he was called out of boyhood, and up into authentic manhood by his Dad, within a community of other men. I end by how I started... Well done!

Strength and Honor,

Darren
